Urban is a mark relative to the essence of who I am, expressing my self-reflective themes, concepts, and ideas that were translated into a visual metaphor and vectorized graphic images. The four traits that reflected my identity-- balance, music, empathy, and technology-- were translated into this mark. Through experimenting with multiple variations and combinations of shapes, I synthesized a single, unified mark. Based on feedback from my peers and classmates, I was influenced to focus on communicating a visual structure that is balanced and flexible. 

Breaking the complexity of my previous mark, I replicated and reoriented the curves and created a stand-alone scalable mark. The mark became its unique graphic element, embracing the message of an active moment. I drew inspiration from my personal experience of biking 5-6 miles most summer mornings: an activity that requires great balance. The color yellow was pulled from a non-profit bicycle organization in my hometown called The Urban Project, which implemented a mock brand campaign into their advertising system.
