Play represents how modernist toys create universal cultivation. The act of playing encourages children to embark on their own creative and imaginative experiences. From research, we discovered that improvisational play builds early childhood development, intuitive problem-solving, self-learning, and creative thinking. The purpose of our guidebooks and exhibition space is to demonstrate the significance that diverse, multicultural play has on children by inviting them into an inclusive space of creative exploration. The joyful moments of wonder are discovered through the enthusiasm of play.

Children engage in joyful moments of wonder and discovery when they participate in hands-on activities, which inevitably enhances their eagerness to explore more. Our team produced a collection of tangible 3D-printed toys, packaging, stamps, stickers, and touchpoints that elevated the brand. Additionally, we created a wayfinding and pictogram system that utilized the reductive, geometric, and primary elements of our researched International designers.

A set of four interactive guidebooks and informative booklets designed for children (K-2nd Grade) and caregivers to engage with while exploring the exhibition space. Included in the guidebooks are illustrated icons and fun activities designed to elevate the philosophy of Play. Along with the guidebooks, we envisioned a cohesive exhibit space, sponsored by für Gestaltung Zürich, that displays a selective collection of International toy designers who embodied reductive and foundational principles.
